THE SYBIL OF LUXURY CARS

The 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class works for just about any situation, split as it is into dual personalities. Take the reserved CLK Coupe out for a night at the opera, and you'll feel right at home in your tux. Take the extroverted CLK Cabriolet if you're more in a stadium and hot dogs mood, with no fear of rainout thanks to the one-button-push convertible top.

A little warning when you climb behind the wheel, though: an electric arm on each side of the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class extends to present the seatbelts. It's a typical Mercedes touch, just don't get startled by the sudden motion. There's a lot more to tell, but we'll save it for the photos, reviews, specs and other automotive scoop we've got. If you're ready to whip out the wallet, we've got pricing and financing info, too.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE

OK, admittedly it's to a fairly select group of people, but there's no denying the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class brought a lot more horses to the hoedown. First, there was the powerful V8 in the CLK500; then Mercedes went hog wild with the CLK55 AMG, more suited to the race track than the average local lane.

At the same time, the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class's small (for a Mercedes, that is) size helps you fit in, if not blend in, to the local parking lot. It's easy to maneuver, though you'll be surprised at how much room there is inside. This is no cramped little roadster, and we'll show you how in photos, reviews and specs. Plus there's pricing information for the buying-interested, and financing information for the really interested. Bon appetit!

For those buyers who seek the best in quality automobiles, there are three packages available: Premium I, II or III.

Some of the amenities offered in these packages include programmable garage door openers built right into the car, auto-dimming mirrors, and sunroofs. There is also a variety of stand-alone options available. It all depends on what the buyer wants.

In designing the 2006 model of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class, the makers went all out. They added a new grille, redesigned the tail lamps and made active front head restraints come standard.

This model is all about a sports car feel, thanks to fully retracting rear windows and seats upholstered in the finest, most decadent leather. Other standard features include a Tele Aid emergency assistance system, windshield wipers equipped with rain-sensors and dual-zone air conditioning that sense a rise in the temperatures.

As far as safety and maintenance goes, the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class comes complete with LCD bar graphs, which tell the driver information about fuel levels and coolant temperatures. All 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class models come equipped with four side-impact airbags. In the front seats, these protect both the head and the thorax region. Also standard for safety are antilock brakes and Mercedes famed Electronic Stability Program.

Mercedes-Benz makes improvements with every new version of their CLK-Class cars, so the next generation already promises to come with newer and better standard features, not to mention more amenities than buyers can even imagine.
